I'm excited to welcome you to tinasclass.com. There are pages here for students and parents with good information for all of you. I hope you find the site fun and helpful for activities in the classroom.

Students, check out the student pages for links to games and activities. The links will help you explore everything we are studying this year including reading, math, science, art, and other stuff.

Parents, you will find the links in the parents' pages helpful, where you will find parent letters, calendars, schedules and ideas for co-oping in the classroom.

Now a word about dragons and castles. I love the legends, fairytales, and myths of the past. Stories of kings, and queens, knights and princesses, dragons and castles. Those legends are full of adventure and important lessons to remember, like courage and compassion, honor and humility, strength and determination. We will talk about all this stuff as we explore the myths and stories of ancient communities, and we will learn what it means to be a dragon.

Why dragons you ask? Well, dragons are amazing creatures with great loyalty to their community. We know dragons are strong and powerful, but did you know they are also compassionate, and kind. Dragons are always improving, observing and learning, that is how they get so smart. Dragons stick up for their friends, protecting them if they need to. We should be like dragons. We can be like dragons. Let's be dragons this year.
